'04 Cedar Point Map Error

Did it really take you more than a fraction of a second to see what word he tried to say?

Yeah, actually it did. I couldn't understand what they were saying. We care, well I do anyway. It is reasonable for a message to be ran through a spell checker.

Grammer, unless you are talking about a city in Indiana, isn't a word. It's GRAMMAR.

And if we're talking grammar here, no tense exists using "would of known." It's "would have known."

:)

Interesting...I check out a thread about map errors, and end up mostly reading about grammar and spelling errors. ^_~

It is quite true that often people base their estimate of another person's intelligence on how well that other person can communicate, so it is important to try to portray yourself as intelligently as possible if you want other people to take you seriously. It's nice when people in a *friendly* way point out serious errors to help another person. However, it is so insanely funny when people in forums (such as here on PointBuzz) point out other people's errors and end up being the pot calling the kettle black.

Exactly, and we don't want people to think that PB is frequented by stupid people. (Though clearly it might be too late for that...)

That one really tall tree in Frontier Town is missing;). I never realized how many mistakes or stuff missing in the map there were. I'd look at the map all the time but never notice it. Interesting.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

Hey, guys. Keep in mind that the map is nothing more than an exaggerated caricature of the park, drawn by artists, meant to help people find their way around. I work in the park, and give directions all the time, and to tell you the truth, the caricature helps. The "this ride is really tall" effect that the drawings have helps people find their way around because they realize that they should be able to see that ride anywhere (like dragster for instance). The colors and layouts are close enough to make them identifiable. It's an artists rendering, not a technical diagram. They aren't errors, they are interpretations.

The only real error in any of the maps, and it's more of a logistical problem anyway, is that none of the in-park maps tell you where you are, but the maps that are handed out tell you where all of the in-park maps are (and the in-park maps don't show you where the in-park maps are, either). *** Edited 10/25/2004 1:46:46 PM UTC by DigitalReality***

You're right they don't need to make it exactly to scale as long as the rides are in thier right places. But I find the Mantis layout funny The whole second half of the ride looks like you would be hanging upside down the whole time while doing alot if in-line twists and corkscrews.

How is that an error?

Also, I just noticed the Swan Boats are still there on the map.

Where did you see Swan Boats? If I remember right, they WERE on the other side of the bridge from SRF, but they aren't there now unless I've got a different version of map than you.

Goodbye MrScott

John

The swan boats were not on the brochure maps, they were on all of the in-park maps.
