Just wondering, do any of the lucky few who were there on media day(or the all knowing Jeff) know if any of the national networks are covering stories. I was glued to the news last night but was met with no luck down here in MD of coverage. Then I remebered the CNN bit on power tower a few yrs back and was hoping as similar segment might run on MF. If any of you guys know anything let me know.
I was on the cable Fox News channel. I also heard that ESPN of all places used some stuff. I thought CNN was there, but I'm not sure. I'm also fairly certain that the local affiliates uplinked their stuff to the networks for general use.

According to the Sandusky Register, CNN, MSNBC, A&E, The Learning Channel and The Discovery Channel were all there.

I saw Millennium Force on the WEATHER CHANNEL this morning. They made it have some tie in with the weather, but of course we all know they just wanted to ride the Force.

Millennium Force will be the next to sink!
Everyone that lives near CP is so lucky to be living close to, in my opinion, the world's best park!

And how many national outlets had SFO on their media day? See... as I said, one park is in a totally different class.

Jeff,
Why do you have to rip SFO so much? The park put in 4 coasters in 1 year for crying out loud. CP ever do that? I worked for both parks and you have to give GL/SFO credit for trying to step up to the plate.
Be glad you have all those coasters in Ohio. Down here in South Florida I have a minimum of a 3 hour drive to ride 1 coaster. Heck, I'd be glad to ride Snoopy's Express.
There was also a film crew from Germany sat morning.
Just to add the the media hype. My parents live in Memphis and say they saw the local news crew talking about MF over the weekend.

Born in Toledo. God I miss CP.
Why rip on SFO? Because they ask for it! I give them credit for building three great rides, but everything else about the park (most of which still isn't complete) is just Drunka Lake with a few new rides.

Chief Wahoo,
If you want to see why SF gets ripped on, go over to Coaster Buzz (www.coasterbuzz.com) and read my trip report about SF - Great America (Chicago). While they have some great rides there, just note the report on how the park is operated. I was very disappointed to say the least. I thought I gave a fair assessment of some things they did well and some things that need to be improved. After reading it, ask youself how you would have felt after that trip considering what you would have paid.

Dateline, NBC is doing a piece on Amusement park safety on Tuesday 5/16, 10pm eastern. I'm sure it will include some MF video from Media Day. Correction made. sorry.

MaxAir,
I understand your point. The same could be said for an experience I had at King's Island. Good rides but awful employees and the filthiest park I have ever been too. Anyone know how much admission to S.F.O. is this year? It used to be a very reasonable park.
