What exactly is a floorless coaster? I'm new with this stuff and not sure of all the terms. However I still love coasters,
Thank you I appreciate the answer.
So what happens when someone loses a shoe and it falls under a wheel?

The train on the floorless coaster is constructed so that the wheels are almost completely covered. That is, there is a gap of less than an inch between the rail and the wheel cover. So if someone loses a shoe, it might get entangled among the track ties, but it won't interfere with the train running gear.

I crawled underneath a floorless train at SFO when it was sitting in the Skycoaster area. I could not believe how tight the tolerances on that thing are. The front of the wheel guard does indeed offer less than an inch of clearance. Of course, you know how smooth B&M's are, so I doubt it's an issue.
(By the way, there are nice close-ups from under the train over on CoasterBuzz.com... click the Six Flags Ohio link on the home page.)

Don't the wheelcovers on the B&M inverteds [RAPTOR] come close to the track as well?
