???

What am I doing here on GTTP? Why did I take a leave? Why did I come back now? Why do you care? I could sit here and answer all of those questions but for now all I going to say is this. CP is the second love of my life, the first being Maria. From day 1 I have always said that the people is what makes CP so great. Yeah Magnum is magnum and it might mean more to me than anyone else but its just a coaster. Infact we have 14 more and we are expecting #16.

What I realized yesterday in the park is that normally around this time I have about 50 or 60 park visits, this year I am at 9 park visits. People ask me what I miss the most. I don't miss Magnum, WT, MF, Gemini, or Happy Friar Fries. I miss the experiences, and memories that I have attached to those rides with a great group of friends. Thats what I've missed the most this summer, just hanging out with my friends and enjoying the park. Yesterday it dawned on me that if I'm not at the park as often as I would like to be the only other place I see people is here. With that in mind why would I stop coming here? So to my close GTTP & CP friends and extended family I missed you guys this summer, but I'm looking forward to the future.

First of all Dan it's nice to hear from you again. I have been abig fan of this site for almost two years. I use to go under the name Nelson not that anyone remembers. I think I may have had 10 posts. For what ever reason I haven't been able to log in so I changed my name. I just want to tell you guys that every night after work I come home and read your posts. I think you guys are great!

You all do so much for CP fans. I doubt any park has as good of a site as this one. I am sure the park is loves the fact that folks on this site care so much for the point.

Jeff your #1 in my book. Dan you are are CP. The rest of you are what makes the park what it is. I'll stop now just what to say thank you!!

Welcome Back Dan, as they say absense makes the heart grow fonder.

I had some scary stuff happen to me this summer that made me draw a lot of the same conclusions as you. I now do what is fun for me and make the most out of everything and I try to do it with those I love, wether it be just everyday stuff or riding a coaster. It's the experience of living and making the most out of it that really matters.

There is a lot out there besides coasters, it's called life.

BTW I saw you on More Top Ten Coasters tonight and wondered what you have been up to all this time. And then I get on GTTP and see this post, is that cool or what?

You never cease to amaze me, Dan. I remember back in the day when I learned of your true passion for Cedar Point and Magnum. This really opened my eyes to my love for Timbers. Whenever I've had concerns or doubts with my marathoning, I always knew who to turn to. You've always known exactly what to say because its happened to you. People have nicknamed me "the next MagnumDan" and I can just laugh because I'll never, ever come close to the legend that you are.

Anyway, I think I speak on behalf of us all in saying we're glad to see you are happy. Your count may be retired, but your love is still there. We're glad to have you back man.
