Thanks, Kyle, and thanks to Walt for sharing it. That forced year off happened after the 10th anniversary...which was in and of itself a big milestone, but made even more special as Walt agreed to come out and chronicle the experience.

The world of Academia (meaning, teaching college) is a weird place to be right now, with tons of financial restrictions and belts tightening for obvious reasons, and even 4 weeks before the trip (even though my students were already putting in the behind-the-scenes work) I still didn't know if it was going to be approved.

Long story short, I had sadly and quietly reserved myself to the possibility that those 10 years would be all she wrote for this project, which led to an unexpected downward slope into a dysthymic mood state for a really long time. If you know what that means, you know how much it sucks.

This helped a lot.

Thanks again, Walt.
